About the Resort

Villa de Mercedes is a high-end resort subdivision in Catigan, Toril, Davao City. It is one of Uraya Land’s real estate developments in the city offering a place for recreation and relaxation anytime of the year. The resort has an infinity swimming pool, a clubhouse, a coffee shop, and other amenities.

Villa de Mercedes also offers a breath-taking panoramic view of  the majestic Mt.Apo, Davao Gulf, and Davao City. It is made even more beautiful by glow lights at night.

How to get there
Please know that Villa de Mercedes is an exclusive resort subdivision. Only members or lot owners (clients who have purchased a lot in the subdivision) have access to it’s amenities. However, you may be able to use the pool and enjoy the resort’s facilities.

After making a reservation, you can ride a taxi or take a Toril PUJ to get there. If taking a jeepney, stop at Toril proper (chowking Toril) and take a tricycle to the resort. Taxis are also highly recommended but be sure to hire one that can pick you up from the resort since it is hard to get a taxi there at night. It is around an hour from downtown Davao.

Villa de Mercedes Entrance Fee

Swimming pool entrance fee is only PHP150.00 on weekdays and PHP200.00 on weekends. Cottage is free. Please wear proper swimwear.

White House


At the highest elevation of Northpoint is the colonial plantation dwelling built by Ker, now called the White House or The Mansion, perched on a verdant hill of green grass and dotted with statuesque age-old Acacia trees, with new imported Caribbean pine trees growing robustly around it.

Robert Ker purportedly viewed his abaca plantation from the White House’s tall, wide windows that gave him a vantage view at all angles. It is believed that the elevation gave him a feel of the highlands of Scotland.

This magnificent European-style house stood sentinel over Davao’s transformation, from its plantation years to the bustling metropolis that it is now fast becoming. For the many decades it had stood on that prominent hill, it was an imposing sight from below, waxing mystique over the fertile imagination of young and not-so-young Davaoeños who would cast an upward glance each time they passed by it.

Over the years, the White House had become a local landmark, remembered as a place to play by those lucky enough to have had access to its vast lawns. The rest of the people contented themselves with gazing at the house atop the hill, aspiring to see it first-hand in its old grandeur.
